PUSH AND SHOVE.
HIGH-ENERGY PARKOUR PERFORMANCE:
FUN FOR ALL AGES!
Working on a 12 foot scaffolding rig Push and Shove is a high energy piece of performance parkour.
Fun, furious and family friendly we bring hip-hop tricks, acrobatics and some daring leaps. A real feel-good performance.
Kids of all ages are welcome to play safely on the rig after the performance!
Charlotte says “we wanted to make a piece for festivals, schools and outdoor spaces, a piece that would inspire people of all ages to move and play.”
BOYS ARE OUTNUMBERED 20:1 BY GIRLS IN DANCE.
Many boys miss out on the physical and wellbeing benefits of dance.
When we bring our parkour rig to schools, all students eagerly engage with it.
It’s an opportunity to redefine dance and make it more inclusive for everyone.
‘Amazing! We've had lots of interest from the boys and currently have about 25 taking part. We’ve never had this much interest before!’
Head of Dance, Christopher Whitehead Language College
WHY OUR WORK MATTERS.
Positive action to improve boys participation in dance leads to dramatic increase in boys motivation.
Boys thrive when dance involves risk sports, street dance, and hip hop.
Inclusive dance styles lead to more engagement.
